PRIME-TASS. MDM-Bank managed to earn Q2 RAS net profit of Rub 158.5 mln, the bank said in a statement quoted by Prime-TASS. In the January-March quarter of 2010 the lending institution reported a loss of Rub 5.96 bln. This puts the lender’s H1 net loss at Rub 5.80 bln.
The lending institution attributes profit generated in the second quarter to higher net profit from banking operations and other transactions, a higher net increment of the positive revaluation of funds held in foreign currencies over the negative revaluation, and to the refund of corporate profit tax advances accrued and paid in January-March 2010.
