After the merger with Uniastrum Bank Orient Express Bank plans to lend around Rub 8 bln to small and mid-sized businesses in 2017, the bank's management board chairman Alexey Kordichev told journalists.
"As regards SME lending, we plan to lend around Rub 7-8 bln, including to individual entrepreneurs," Kordichev pointed out.
He added that retail clients of the bank are expected to grow, and he also talked about initiatives related to small and mid-sized enterprises in 2017.
"What we'll be doing on the SME front at the beginning of the year are to update an online banking platform that is integrated with accounting systems and operation-supportive ones. And we'll provide possibilities for quality customer services in terms of transaction services. And marketing procedures will get under way in the second half of the year," the management board chairman said.
