St. Petersburg’s INKASBANK, part of the East European Finance Corporation (VEFK), began issuing MASTERCARD INTERNATIONAL cards on April 17. The bank is to issue Maestro, MasterCard Standard and Gold cards. The relevant permission for the issue and acquiring of MasterCards was drawn up on December 6, 2005. Cards have been accepted by all VEFK units equipped with electronic banking machines from December 21, 2005.
