The Chelyabinsk MECHEL BANK has finalized the deal for the merger of the Yekaterinburg ZOLOTO-PLATINA BANK. Now, the MECHEL BANK branch is to be established on the basis of the ZOLOTO-PLATINA BANK. The Yekaterinburg bank was three times as large as its Chelyabinsk counterpart. However, unlike MECHEL BANK, it failed to gain access to the deposit insurance system.
