Russias ELEKTRONIKA bank (Moscow) shareholders have acquired the METROPOLIS insurance company. Bank CEO Vladimir Romanov and director Maksim Lavrentyev each own 37.5% of its shares. The bankers say they are working out a major retail insurance project. Market participants consider the project to require tens of millions of dollars. According to RBC RATING, as of October 1, 2006, the ELEKTRONIKA bank was 115th in terms of assets and 93rd in terms of capital.
