Since June 10, 2015 the Bank of Russia has cancelled a banking license held by East European Trust Bank, the regulator's press service reported.
As the Bank of Russia specified, the bank's license was annulled "as the lending institution's authorized body adopted a decision to terminate activities via liquidation".
Meanwhile, the Bank of Russia emphasized that the bank, based on the data provided, "holds sufficient assets to meet creditor claims".
East European Trust Bank is a member of the national deposit insurance system. The cancellation of a banking license is an accident insured, the Bank of Russia noted.
