Russian rating agency Expert RA has assigned to National Trade Bank a B++ creditworthiness rating (acceptable creditworthiness). As the rating agency said in a press release, main factors that had a positive impact on the lender’s creditworthiness are the broad diversification of its resource base by clients, the acceptable level of debts overdue and the fact that VEB and VTB are its shareholders.
The crucial factor limiting the banks creditworthiness is the banks modest equity, and the rating was also depressed by the imbalanced structure of assets and liabilities in terms of maturity, and also the modest portion of highly liquid assets.
