The Federal Anti-Trust Service (FAS) has agreed upon a transaction to sell 70% equity stakes in Koltso Urala, the anti-trust authority reported.
"The Federal Anti-Trust Service has considered a request seeking authorization to buy 70% of Koltso Urala's charter capital and decided to satisfy this request," the decision says.
According to Banki.ru sources, Gazprombank may acquire Koltso Urala.
"Gazprombank will buy the bank from UGMK that will continue to hold at the bank accounts of its entities," a Banki.ru source said.
According to the same source, negotiations over the sale of another Urals-based lender are also under way.
