According to the regulator's press service, the Bank of Russia has revoked the license to conducting banking operations of EurocityBank (the registration number 1869, Mytishchi, the Moscow region).
The CB explains the use of the extreme sanction by failure of the federal laws that govern banking and of the normative acts of the Bank of Russia by the credit organization and by application of measures provided by the federal law «On the Central bank of the Russian Federation (the Bank of Russia)», taking into consideration the real threat to the interests of creditors and investors.
It was declared in the Central Bank that in connection with submission of enforcement documents on recovery of the obligations on its liabilities from PSC CB EurocityBank by the tax authorities the credit organization has lost its ability to pay. It was also declared in the CB that the bank virtually stopped its operating activities in the beginning of July of 2016.
EurocityBank is a participant of the deposit insurance system.
