B&N Bank, which is owned by businessman Mikail Shishkanov, intends to wrap up the acquisition of a 100% stake in Moscomprivatbank, a Russian subsidiary of Ukraine-based PrivatBank, after April 20, B&N Bank’s press service told Banki.ru.
To remind, B&N Bank purchased Moscomprivatbank for Rub 6 bln on April 2. At the same time, the Deposit Insurance Agency (DIA) provided Mikail Shishkanov’s bank with a loan of Rub 12 bln to maintain liquidity at Moscomprivatbank. Shishkanov himself said at that time that the deal might be closed within a couple of weeks. “The deal is expected for closing after April 20," a Banki.ru interviewee specified.
After its purchase by B&N Bank is transacted Moscomprivatbank will operate under the B&N Bank brand. Shishkhanov also noted that executives of PrivatBank’s Russian subsidiary will join B&N Bank within a year after the bank’s acquisition.
