The Russian Central Bank has registered an increase in the Moscow INTERPROMBANK equity capital to R400 million through a share issue. The banks shares were issued at premium and were bought in full by KOMBINAT PITANIA ARBAT. As a result of the new share issue, INTERPROMBANKs own equity topped R1.5 billion as of January 1, 2006.
In 2005, the banks grand total rose 45% to R8.4b. The credit portfolio at the start of January 2006 topped R4.5b, of which R4b are credits issued to corporate clients. Corporate deposits rose by R2.5b from January 2005 to R2.9b, private deposits — R224m to over R774m.
