Bank BFA bumps up <nobr>pre-tax</nobr> profit 16x in Q1

PRIME-TASS. In the January-March quarter of 2009 Bank BFA managed to boost its pre-tax profit by 16.4 times y-o-y (from Rub 12.90 mln to Rub 212.45 mln), according to a bulletin issued by the Association of North-Western Banks. The lending institution’s assets have climbed 15.06% YTD, reaching Rub 9.31 bln as of April 1, 2009.

The lender’s net debt rose 1.3% to Rub 3.64 bln.

Credit facilities granted to households amounted to Rub 7.70 mln in Q1 and legal entities borrowed Rub 1.12 bln.
