RALCI. The Central Bank of the Russian Federation filed a statement of claim with the Arbitration Court of the Amur region seeking forced liquidation of Vostokcreditbank, the arbitration courts press secretary Margarita Suzdaltseva told the Russian Agency of Legal and Court Information (RALCI).
The license held by Blagoveschensk-based Vostokcreditbank was revoked back on November 24, 2010. The reason behind the revoked license is the banks failure to fulfill federal laws on banking activities and CBR statutory acts, and also the application of measures provided for by the Federal Law “On the Central Bank of the Russian Federation (Bank of Russia)” within a year on numerous occasions.
At present, Vostokcreditbank customers can receive payments for their deposits at Sberbanks Far East branches. The bank was involved only in corporate lending and as of November 1, 2010 its credit portfolio totaled Rub 2.1 bln.
Nearly 60% of the total amount of insurance compensation, which is due to Amur deposit holders of the license-stripped bank, were already paid. All in all, 2,700 deposit holders of Vostokcreditbank who should receive Rub 372 mln reside in the Amur region.
