In the first quarter of 2007, UKHTABANK, Russias Komi Republic, increased its assets by 6.9% to R5.99 billion, according to analytical methods. Credits provided to enterprises in the real economic sector and individual entrepreneurs stood at R1.958b as of April 1, 2007. Private accounts receivable rose to R1.040b. As of April 1, 2007, the volume of corporate funds placed on settlement and deposit accounts was at R1.309b, increasing by 2.6% over the first three months of the year. The volume of individual deposits rose 7.7%, from R3.248b to R3.498b. Card account balances increased by 20.8%, from R696m to R840m. Plastic card transactions, including withdrawal of cash and settlements in retail chains, increased by 29.2% year-on-year to R3.110b. The pretax profit amounted to R50.473m, up 86.8% Y/Y. The after-tax profit was at R35.547m, up 42% Y/Y. Equity capital went up 4.3% to R863.1m.
