As Banki.ru learned, Siberian Merchant Bank has been renamed Expert Bank. Relevant amendments were already made to the CBR Book for State Registration of Lending Institutions.
On December 5, 2011 the bank was issued licenses to carry out operations with rubles and currencies, and also to attract retail deposits.
Expert Bank noted that due to the new corporate name details of customers’ bank accounts will change (only the bank’s corporate name). “Other banking details of payments (the bank’s account number, BIC, TIN and KPP, number of the correspondent account and others) will remain the same. Until December 31, inclusive, all payments to customers’ accounts will be accepted with an indication of the bank’s previous corporate name (Siberian Merchant Bank). Starting from the first banking day of 2012, i.e. January 10, 2012, payment documents should contain the new corporate name (Expert Bank)," the lending institution noted in a press release.
