The Central Bank of Russia has revoked a banking license held by Dagestan-based Express, the Bank of Russia said in a press release. The regulators decision is to take effect on January 21.
“The Bank of Russia informs that it has adopted a decision to cancel effective January 21, 2013 a banking license held by Joint Stock Commercial Bank Express," the regulator said in a press release.
Express is a member of the national deposit insurance system.
Previously the Bank of Russia imposed restrictions on Express regarding customer services.
