World Bank of Christ the Saviour Cathedral has been renamed in Bankhaus Erbe, the lending institutions board member and co-owner Andrey Kulakov said in his letter to the banks clients that Banki.ru managed to obtain.
World Bank of Christ the Saviour Cathedral is a mid-sized bank in terms of assets. Based on the joint ranking by Interfax-CEA and Banki.ru, as of January 1, 2008 the bank ranked 444th in terms of net assets (Rub 2.2 bln). The lending institution was founded in 1991 by the Moscow Patriarchate and a number of other church organizations that form the Russian Orthodox Church. Recently the bank launched private banking services and right now, according to its managers, it is a banking boutique «where a client will enjoy personal recognition and has an opportunity to contact a personal manager if any questions arise».
The lending institutions shareholders are limited liability companies Imperator-2000 (19.7%) Kevin-M (19.6%) and Global Express (19.7%). 20% stakes are held by the banks president Valentina Romanova and Andrey Kulakov, the author of the above letter. The lenders Board of Directors involves member of the advisory board at the Prosecutor Generals Office and member of the State Dumas Expert Committee for Security Oleg Gaydanov, Federation Council member Alexander Dondukov and also Vladimir Panskov who acted as Russias finance minister from November 1994 through August 1996.
