New Financial Technologies, a subsidiary of Gazprombank, acquired 99.164% of Noyabrskneftecombank’s charter capital, Gazprombank said in a press release.
As of August 1, 2008 Noyabrskneftecombank’s charter capital stood at Rub 27.9 mln and equity capital amounted to Rub 336.3 mln. Apart from the head office in Noyabrsk, the bank has a branch in the town of Muravlenko.
«Noyabrskneftecombank has an intensive experience of providing services to O&G corporate clients» — Gazprombank’s deputy executive board chairman Nikolay Korenev noted adding that it is this factor that was fundamental for the decision to acquire the bank, since Gazprombank needs a foothold in this region to provide services to a number of significant, primarily Gazprom Neft Group-affiliated, concerns.
According to the data from news agency Banki.ru and Interfax-CEA, Gazprombank ranks 3rd in terms of net assets (Rub 877.89 bln) among Russian banks. The lending institution is a member of the national deposit insurance system.
Noyabrskneftecombank ranks 425th in terms if net assets (Rub 2.51 bln) and is a member of the national deposit insurance system.
