Bank Uralsib has acquired a 50% interest in Bashkir Industrial Bank (Bashprombank), thereby raising its equity position in the lending institution’s charter capital to 99.999965%, the financial institution’s official data showed.
In December 2013 Bank Uralsib bought 137.23 tln of Bashprombank shares, or 49.99996% of the shares, for Rub 190 mln. The price of the latest transaction was not disclosed.
In early November 2013 the Ministry of Land Property of the Republic of Bashkortostan put up for sale Bashprombank’s shares. Bank Uralsib won the auction.
Based on Banki.ru data, Bashprombank is ranked in the range of 701 to 799 among Russian lending institutions by assets and in the band of Top 500 by net profit.
