Oleg Malis has divested his 6.64% stake in Otkritie Financial Corporation, the financial corporation reported, noting the shares were acquired by its executives, while other details of the transaction remained unknown.
“Initially I viewed my participation in Otkritie Financial Corporation as an interesting portfolio investment and in fact it has been quite successful. At present, I plan to focus on other projects outside the financial sector," Malis commented on his decision.
For the record, Oleg Malis bought into Otkritie Financial Corporation in 3Q 2012 as part of the corporations integration with Nomos-Bank Group. At that time he purchased 4.95% of the financial corporation and 4.91% of Nomos-Bank. His interest in Otkritie Financial Corporation grew to 6.64% in April — June 2—13 after the corporation issued additional shares. Otkritie Financial Corporation bought Maliss entire stake in Nomos-Bank while consolidating the lending institutions controlling interest in July — September 2013.
To date Otkritie Financial Corporation has consolidated a controlling interest in Nomos-Bank. The corporations assets are estimated at around Rub 2 tln (including indicators of Petrocommerce, the integration of which will be finalized within 2014), the corporation specified in a press release.
