Rosselkhozbank buys a 100% stake in Penza Gubernsky Tarkhany Bank. “The top-priority target pursued by the bank is to ensure smooth processing of payments. At the beginning of next week we intend to meet all obligations to our clients and resume the bank’s operations under pre-crisis terms” — the lending institution said in a press release.
According to the data from news agency Banki.ru and Interfax-CEA, as of July 1, 2008 Russian Agricultural Bank ranked fourth among Russian banks, with net assets of Rub 626.65 bln. The lending institution is a member of the national deposit insurance system. 100% of Rosselkhozbank is owned by the Russian Federation represented by the Federal Property Management Agency.
Penza Gubernsky Tarkhany Bank is a first commercial bank that appeared in the Penza region. The lender was incorporated by businesses based in Penza and was registered by the Central Bank of Russia on October 9, 1990. The banks network consists of 19 sales offices, 17 cash desks and a branch.
