Russian rating agency RAEX (Expert RA) has lowered its creditworthiness rating on Bank Klientskiy to C++ (the very low level of creditworthiness, pre-default). The rating carries a negative outlook, which means the strong likelihood of the rating being downgraded over the medium term.
The bank's creditworthiness rating was previously B+ (the sufficient level of creditworthiness), the outlook was negative.
The rating downgrade is driven by the bank's growing exposure to regulatory risks in the conditions of modest capital adequacy, the lack of a substantial amount of highly liquid assets and the non-optimal breakdown of the bank's resource base.
