Nordea Bank earned net profit of Rub 2.61 bln in January-June 2016, exceeding the year-ago indicator by 3.2%, the lending institution's press service reported.
The bank's regulatory capital under the Basel II-III standards increased to Rub 44 bln, up 2.6% from Rub 42.9 bln a year ago.
"In the current market conditions, the bank continues to generate profit and maintains the credit portfolio quality at a steadily high level. The bank's N1 capital adequacy ratio is also high," Nordea Bank management board chairman Mikhail Polyakov commented.
As of July 1, 2016 Nordea Bank's credit portfolio, including inter-bank loans, came to Rub 287.78 bln. As of the balance sheet date the financial institution's assets were recorded at Rub 320.03 bln.
