The National Rating Agency (NRA) has given an individual creditworthiness rating of A- (high creditworthiness, Level 3) to Stolichniy Torgoviy Bank, the agency’s press service reported Friday.
“The lender’s rating is reflective of steady headline financials amid the difficult market conditions, low market risks and readiness to accept market risks, and margins acceptable at the moment. It’s noteworthy the segment and the niche the lender targets on the domestic banking market is one of the bank’s serious competitive advantages," pointed out Svetlana Kanevskaya, deputy head of the analytical department at NRA.
“On the other hand, the lending institution’s rating is let down by the adverse influence because of its modest capitalization, the likelihood of potential deterioration of the quality of assets, the absence of a license to attract private deposits, which makes the lender’s further development strategy uncertain," she added.
