At present, cash in circulation in Russia includes 5,624.5 mln banknotes for Rub 8,321.9 bln and 64,587.9 mln coins worth Rub 89.7 bln. These numbers were given in the summary "Breakdown of Cash in Circulation as of April 1, 2017" that was posted on the website of the Central Bank of Russia.
As of April 1, 2017 the total amount of cash in circulation stood at Rub 8,411.6 bln. In the first quarter of 2017 the indicator fell by Rub 390.4 bln, or 4.4% (from Rub 8,802 bln as of January 1, 2017), including cash in circulation in the form of banknotes decreased by Rub 391.2 bln, and cash as coins rose by Rub 800 mln.
In March, cash in circulation declined by Rub 13.9 bln (from Rub 8,425.5 bln as of early March).
