As news agency Banki.ru learned, Santander Consumer Bank had been renamed in Orient Mortgage Bank. Relevant amendments were already made to the CBR Book for State Registration of Lending Institutions.
On April 25, 2011 the bank was provided with licenses to conduct operations with rubles and currencies, and also to attract private deposits.
For the record, in early December 2010 Orient Express Bank acquired 100% of Santander Consumer Bank (was part of Banco Santander S. A. of Spain).
Based on Banki.ru data, as of April 1, 2011 Orient Mortgage Banks net assets stood at Rub 1.71 bln (571st in Russia), capital (calculated in line with CBR requirements) totaled Rub 1.63 bln, the credit portfolio was equal to zero and obligations to households equaled Rub 100 mln.
