PRIME. VTB Capital Investment Management has launched a UCITS for foreign investors which is registered in Luxembourg and regulated in accordance with the requirements of European laws, the company said in a press release.
During the funds registration $40 mln was attracted, and preliminary arrangements were also made for additional investment of $20 mln.
The fund will invest in fixed-income instruments, including government, municipal and corporate bonds of the issuers from Russia and the CIS, including Eurobonds and convertible bonds. The fund is denominated in US dollars.
Previously VTB Capital Investment Management general director Vladimir Potapov told Prime that he expects the fund to return 10% in terms of currencies.
In his opinion, the fund will be in demand among EM-focused investors and also global investors that are interested in diversifying their portfolios.
VTB Capital investment Management is part of VTB Capital, an investment division of VTB Group. The company consists of VTB Capital Asset Management and VTB Capital Pension Reserve.
