Vneshprombank has finalized the procedure for upsizing its charter capital to Rub 1,210 mln. As the bank’s press service said in a statement, on Monday, November 17, the bank received official documents confirming the registration of relevant amendments made to the articles and memorandum of association. The lenders charter capital was increased by Rub 118 mln using contributions of its effective shareholders and an additional cash injection by a new shareholder. The lending institutions equity capital (including subordinated loans) topped Rub 3 bln for the first time, reaching Rub 3.19 bln.
In the short term the plan is to extend the procedure for upsizing the banks charter capital at a gradual pace in order to bolster its financial indicators and also retain the current ownership structure, the press service reported.
According to the data from news agency Banki.ru and Interfax-CEA, as of July 1, 2008 Vneshprombank was in 144th place among Russian banks in terms of net assets (Rub 13.48 bln). The lending institution is a member of the national deposit insurance system.
