RIA NOVOSTI. Solidarnost, headquartered in Samara, has finalized the acquisition of a 100% stake in Bank Potential (Zhigulevsk) that faced financial problems, the Samara-based lender said in a statement. The Deposit Insurance Agency (DIA) also participated in the bank’s financial rehabilitation. An agreement between DIA and both banks was signed on November 10, 2008. In line with this document, the agency was under obligation to provide Solidarnost with financial support to rehabilitate Bank Potential.
Solidarnost is one of the biggest lending institutions in the Samara region, provides services to both households and corporate clients and ranks in the Top 200 of Russian banks. Bank Potential is ranked among 400 largest lending institutions in the Russian Federation.
