Pervobank has become a shareholder of Bank Vozrozhdenie, the lending institution said in a press release. Pervobank has acquired a 9.9% interest in Bank Vozrozhdenie. The transaction was executed on August 14, 2015.
For the record, Pervobank will merge with Promsvyazbank, the lending institutions' executives announced this decision in early July.
According to the information of market participants, Promsvyazbank shareholders Dmitri and Alexei Ananievs gathered around 47% of Bank Vozrozhdenie shares. Shares held by the heirs of the bank's founder Dmitri Orlov (daughter Tatiana and son Nikolai), and also those in the hands of Alexei Krapivin, who acts on their behalf, equal roughly 40%.
Meanwhile, last week holding company Promsvyazcapital B.V. applied to the Federal Anti-Trust Service (FAS), intending to buy 75% of Bank Vozrozhdenie. After getting approval from FAS, Promsvyazcapital B.V. intends to seek a relevant permission from the Bank of Russia.
