Russia’s ELEKTRONIKA bank (Moscow) is to continue its operations providing customs guarantees in 2007. In the first week of February 2007, the bank provided 21 guarantees (R42 million) to customs authorities. Most guarantees were provided to the OKV firm, one of the largest importers of premium-grade alcoholic beverages produced in Spain, France, Italy, Croatia, Tunisia, Morocco, Bulgaria, Hungary and Britain. The maximum amount of guarantees to be provided by ELEKTRONIKA to the Federal Customs Service is R170 million.
