Igor Lysenko, the head of Russia’s MEJPROMBANK retail subsidiary, is moving to SVYAZ BANK (Moscow). The banks share a desire to promote retail services through post offices. According to Interfax CEA, MEJPROMBANK PLUS assets, as of January 1, 2007, stood at R4.2 billion (248th place), own equity — R1.8b (100th), profit R28.7 million (454th); SVYAZ BANK assets — R55.4b (31st), own equity — R4.5b (41st), and profit — R639m (65th).
