Fawzi Kyriakos-Saad has taken office as chief executive officer of Credit Suisse Russia. As the lending institutions press service reported, he will be based in Moscow and will report to Eric Varvel, Chief Executive Officer of the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region. In addition, Fawzi Kyriakos-Saad will continue to perform his duties to manage the banks activities in the CIS and Turkey.
In the new capacity Fawzi Kyriakos-Saad will oversee private capital, investment banking and asset management activities in Russia. In this role he will contribute to building the integrated model of a unified bank, making the extensive use of the banks resources for the benefit of Russian clients.
Fawzi Kyriakos-Saad was born in Beirut (Lebanon). He graduated from an American university in Beirut, majoring in design and construction of civil buildings and got an MBA degree from the Columbia University. Before joining Credit Suisse in September 2006 Fawzi Kyriakos-Saad held various managerial positions at JP Morgan Chase, dealing with fixed-income instruments and EM operations. Prior to JP Morgan he worked at Goldman Sachs for eight years in New York and London.
According to the data from news agency Banki.ru and Interfax-CEA, net assets of Bank Credit Suisse (Moscow) equal Rub 13.70 bln (132nd place in Russia). The lending institution is a member of the national deposit insurance system. The banks previous name (until 2006) was Credit Suisse First Boston.
