Mega Bank nearly doubles 9M08 profit

PRIME-TASS. Pre-tax profit earned by Mega Bank (Tyumen) amounted to Rub 48.47 mln in January-September 2008 against Rub 24.72 mln a year earlier, the bank said in a statement. As of October 1, the lending institution’s assets stood at Rub 1.34 bln compared to Rub 1.14 bln as of January 1, 2008 and equity totaled Rub 204.19 mln.

As of October 1 the lender’s funds reached Rub 28.84 mln, money held with CBR came to Rub 238.15 mln, mandatory reserves totaled Rub 22.62 mln, funds held with lending institutions amounted to Rub 7.65 mln, net investments in securities aggregated Rub 20.72 mln, net loans due equaled Rub 901.14 mln, funds of non-lending institutions’ clients totaled Rub 1.03 bln, private deposits amounted to Rub 83.02 mln, debt obligations issued came to Rub 29.53 mln, registered common shares totaled 127.7 mln, fixed asset revaluation was equal to Rub 68.66 mln and retained earnings from previous years amounted to Rub 42.88 mln.

The actual capital adequacy ratio came in at 19.5%, actually accumulated reserves for possible losses under loans, credits and equivalent obligations amounted to Rub 22.59 mln and formed reserves to possible losses came to Rub 1.58 mln.
