PRIME-TASS. The value of assets held by Bank EEFC-Siberia, headquartered in Novosibirsk and part of East European Finance Corporation, fell 17.4% or Rub 1.43 bln in the October-December quarter of 2008 and stood at Rub 6.82 bln as of January 1, 2009, the lending institution said in its financial statement.
This indicator deteriorated “because of a decline in the lender’s resource base owing to funds withdrawn by clients from settlement and current accounts, and also from termed deposit and demand accounts”, the banks representatives pointed out.
