PRIME-TASS. Donaktivbank, headquartered in Rostov-on-Don, earned Rub 37.08 mln in net profit in 2008 or 4.8 times more than a year ago (Rub 7.7 mln), the lending institutions press service reported. The bank attributes higher net profit to a jump in interest income generated from loans provided, earnings from foreign currency cash and non-cash purchase/sale operations, and also given the positive revaluation of assets denominated in foreign currencies.
Based on data from the Chief Directorate of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation in the Rostov region, as of January 1, 2009 Donaktivbank’s assets totaled Rub 2.18 bln, including Rub 841.7 mln of credit investments, Rub 271.9 mln of equity and Rub 383.9 mln of credits, deposits and other raised funds, including Rub 283.9 mln of private deposits, while the lenders 2008 balance sheet profit came to Rub 50.02 mln.
Donaktivbank was registered by the Central Bank of Russia on December 10, 1994. The lending institutions charter capital equals Rub 200 mln (200 mln common shares with Rub 1.00 par value each). Main clients and partners of the bank are water transport businesses that operate within the Azov-Don Basin. The banks major shareholders are individuals.
