Rating agency Expert RA has withdrawn Bank Family’s B+ creditworthiness rating that was assigned on March 11, 2009. As the agencys press service reported, “the rating suggested a strong likelihood that in the short term the lender will be able to ensure that all current financial obligations be met, including new marginal obligations arising in the course of operations, but a likelihood exists that the lender could face financial difficulties if circumstances requiring sizeable payments arise”.
The press release pointed out that the B+ rating gave no opportunity to Bank Family to seek funds at 5-week CBR uncollateralized auctions, as the rating below the В++ grade (under the rating agencys scale) is classified as speculative (“the marginal credit quality”).
