On November 20, Russias FINANSBANK shareholders approved the decision to change the banks name to CREDIT EUROPE BANK LTD. The decision was caused by the deal for the purchase of a part of the FINANSBANK international group by the National Bank of Greece (NBG). The deal was concluded in November. During the deal, the group was divided into two parts. One part went to NBG which bought 46% of shares in the group plus its international brand. The other part, including Russian business, has remained in hands of Gusun Ozegin who controls the Dutch FINANSBANK GROUP (FIBA GROUP) and who owned all groups units before November. All those units will change their names to CREDIT EUROPE BANKs.
